Chipotle Giving Away Free Meals for Every 3-Pointer Made During NBA Finals

Chipotle is giving away free food during the 2023 NBA Finals with its exclusive “Chipotle Free Pointer” deal.

With the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat facing off, Chipotle will be offering free meals to those watching the showdown. Every time either team scores a three-pointer, the tex-Mex chain will send out a unique code from its @ChipotleTweets Twitter account. The first 300 followers to text the code to 888222 will win a free entrée. Chipotle says it is prepared to give out up to 10,500 complimentary entrées every game, with the Nuggets and Heat averaging 23 three-pointers per game.

“Like a well-timed 3-pointer on basketball’s biggest stage, free Chipotle brings people out of their seats,” stated Chris Brandt, Chief Brand Officer at Chipotle.

The “Chipotle Free Pointer” deal applies to all regular menu entrée items. This includes burritos, bowls, and salads and does not require any additional purchase. The winners may place their grub orders via the Chipotle app or website. On Tuesday, the company announced the “Free Pointer” deal to its Twitter followers.

This is not Chipotle’s first time getting in on the Finals action. In 2019, Chipotle debuted its “freeting” practice, though the rules were slightly different. In the original version of the contest, every time an on-air announcer said the word “free” during official Finals coverage, @ChipotleTweets would tweet a code for a free burrito.

The deal kicks off June 1st, the same day that game one gets underway. Chipotle will give out free food for the duration of the Finals.
