If you’re an ice cream lover mourning the suspension of the beloved Choco Taco, eBay sellers have stocked up on the treat and are ready to meet the increased demand, but it’s going to cost you.
Earlier this week, Klondike announced that they were ceasing production of the waffle cone taco-shaped ice cream bar. Naturally, fans of the treat rushed out to enjoy them one last time. However, eBay sellers purchased them in bulk and immediately began selling them online with shocking price tags. One eBay seller listed the starting bid for 20 Choco Tacos at $5,000, while another had six listed with a starting bid of $1,000. Some sellers were a bit more reasonable with their prices, beginning the bid at $875 for those craving a single Choco Taco.

Considering that we are in the middle of summer with record heat sweeping the nation, having ice cream delivered to your doorstep from anywhere in the country may not be the brightest idea. However, those wishing to test their luck and their stomachs can search “Choco Taco” on eBay, and a plethora of vendors will surface, happy to serve you.
Klondike shared the news Monday that they were canceling Choco Tacos due to underwhelming demand in recent years. However, seeing the public outcry, Klondike is already in talks of bringing the treat back, specifically to ice cream trucks, where Choco Tacos have thrived for years.
“We’re working hard to find a way to bring Choco Taco back to ice cream trucks in the coming years,” Klondike said in a statement.
Until that day comes, eBay and a few convenience stores with leftover stock have you covered.
