Just hours after news surfaced that Nicki Minaj severed business ties with her longtime managers, new reports say the Queens-bred rapstar has landed a brand new gig, set to kick off this summer.
According to Variety, Nicki Minaj will team up with this generation’s King of R&B, Chris Brown, for a North American tour. Though further details remain unclear, including specific dates, locations, and whether the two are co-headlining the tour, the Prudential Center in New Jersey has a September date advertised for Brown with Minaj as a featured artist.
In the meantime, the news of the fall tour comes on the heels of Brown’s new release, “Wobble Up,” which features Minaj and West Coast rapper, G-Eazy. It also comes in the wake of Minaj’s European tour, which was plagued by production issues that forced Minaj to postpone a few shows.
According to the publication, Minaj is still expected to headline her own North American tour for “Queen,” but after it was postponed last August over production issues, new dates have yet to be revealed.
