Chris Brown may be the latest celebrity to “somewhat” address DaBaby’s recent controversial Rolling Loud comments.
Before Brown’s social media post, T.I., Dua Lipa, and Elton John also weighed in on DaBaby’s onstage homophobic rant.
Brown put up an Instagram story that has since been taken deleted, saying, “Shut the f**k up…Do yo shows thank everybody. Then get the f**k off the stage !!!!!!!!!!!!!!” his post read.
Although he didn’t call out DaBaby, it’s widely believed he addressed the rapper’s recent antics.
And he wasn’t the only one. Despite once collaborating with DaBaby, Dua Lipa also called out him out for his hateful diatribe while also sharing her support for the LGBTQ+ community.
“I’m surprised and horrified at DaBaby’s comments,” said the pop star. “I really don’t recognize this as the person I worked with. I know my fans know where my heart lies and that I stand 100% with the LGTBQ community. We need to come together to fight the stigma and ignorance around HIV/AIDS.”
But some people, including rapper T.I., had no problem with DaBaby’s rant. He feels as if DaBaby should be allowed to say what is on his mind without the culture canceling him out.
“If Lil Nas X can kick his shit in peace… so should dababy,” he wrote.
As for DaBaby, he doesn’t seem bothered by all the controversy surrounding him. On Wednesday, he dropped a video for his new song “Giving What It’s Supposed to Give,” Rap-up reported.
“It never seizes to amaze me the way God put me in situations I’m already equipped to handle,” he wrote.
