Chris Brown is defending himself against claims that he is anti-Semitic by invoking his gang affiliation.
On Sunday, the 11:11 singer took to Instagram to address claims that he was not Muslim or Jewish but a Piru.
In a since-deleted post, he wrote, “LET ME MAKE THIS PERFECTLY CLEAR BEFORE YALL TRY TO USE ME AS A PAWN… IMA PIRU, I AINT MUSLIM OR JEWISH so don’t start no sh*t wont be no sh*t!!! I’M TRYING TO BE PEACEFUL BUT PLEASE DO NOT WAKE UP THE DEMON IN ME! GO ON ABOUT YOUR F*CKING DAY.”

He later wrote, “In no way shape or form am I antisemitic! I’m pro life and I make music for the entire world!” the singer wrote.
He continued, “I’m so please do not get tricked into thinking I spread hate or am I kool with it! This [is] for the millions of young kids that look up to [me] and may be confused.”
Last week, a video of Brown dancing to Kanye West’s “Vultures‘ song, whose lyrics state: “How I’m anti-Semitic? I just f*cked a Jewish b*tch/I just f*cked Scooter’s b*tch.”
Many Netizens were outraged at the song’s lyrics.
Many fans were also confused by Brown’s Piru comment since it is not a religion.
Piru is a street gang that was founded by Sylvester Scott and Vincent Owens in 1969 in Compton, California.
The members, who were dubbed the original LA Blood gang, were involved in crimes like drugs, theft, and murder.
