Chris Brown’s legal troubles overseas just got heavier. The R&B star is now facing two additional charges in a London nightclub assault case tied to a violent incident from 2023.
Brown appeared in Southwark Crown Court Friday morning wearing a brown suit, where he formally pled not guilty to both new charges: assault causing actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.
These charges come on top of the more serious accusation Brown is already facing, attempting to cause grievous bodily harm, which he also pled not guilty to during a court appearance last month. Prosecutors allege that back in February 2023, Brown smashed a bottle over music producer Abraham Diaw’s head during a confrontation inside TAPE nightclub in London.
Brown isn’t the only one facing the heat. Co-defendant Omololu Akinlolu has also denied all charges related to the same incident.
Chris Brown’s trial is officially scheduled for October 26, 2026. The music industry will be watching closely to see how this plays out.
