Chris Brown just made another courtroom appearance, this time across the pond. The R&B singer pleaded not guilty in a London court Friday morning to a serious assault charge stemming from a 2023 nightclub incident.
According to London’s Metropolitan Police, Brown is facing one count of “grievous bodily harm with intent” after an alleged brawl in a London nightclub two years ago.
The 35-year-old showed up at Southwark Crown Court and formally denied the accusation.
Brown was arrested in Manchester last month and released after posting a staggering $6.7 million security fee. Despite the case, he’s still been performing in the UK, with his most recent stop in Cardiff on Thursday night.
This isn’t Brown’s first time dealing with the law. His most infamous case involved the 2009 felony assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna. He served jail time in 2014 after being kicked out of rehab and remained on probation until 2015.
While the current case plays out, Brown continues to tour across Europe, making headlines in and out of the courtroom.
