On Saturday, over 90,000 people packed out the iconic FBN Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa to attend the landmark performance of Chris Brown. Breezy returned to the city for the first night of his two sold-out concerts.
According to clips from the evening, Chris gave an electrifying two-and-a-half performance highlighting his successful musical career spanning over two decades. The footage showed Breezy opening the show with hits like “Angel Numbers / Ten Toes” and “Heat,” before transitioning to his beloved classics “No Air,” “Don’t Judge Me,” and “Back to Sleep.” But, one of the memorable moments from the show was Chris’s “Wall to Wall” aerial stunt.

Additionally, Breezy had four outfit changes throughout the night to pay homage to the eras in his career, including basketball-inspired streetwear. In an effort to show gratitude to the city, Chris had his DJ to play local South African classics like Brenda Fassie’s “Weekend Special.” He also honored late South African music legends AKA and Riky Rick with hits like “Fela In Versace” and “Boss Zonke.”
Before the show concluded, Chris took a moment to address the crowd while performing his timeless hit “Forever.”
“I just want to say from the bottom of my heart, I love you guys so much. This night means the world to me. I’ve been waiting my whole life for this kind of moment,” he said.
If you’re unaware, Chris’s return to Johannesburg is significant because he was previously banned from South Africa after his high-profile domestic violence incident with ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. Following the announcement of the concert, advocacy group Women For Change launched a petition to cancel the shows due to the DV situation. Despite the pressure, the event still went on and fans made sure they did not miss it.
Chris Brown successfully finished his tour in South Africa bringing around +92k people for two days in a row to one of the biggest stadiums in the world.
