Chris Brown is taking his “Under The Influence” tour to Jamaica, marking his first performance in the country after more than a decade. Set to take place in Kingston, this event is eagerly anticipated, with Baller Alert securing a front-row seat to the action.
Chris Brown is all set to make his debut performance in Jamaica at the BZR Weekend on August 27th, 2023. This performance is a part of his ongoing “Under The Influence” tour, where he will also feature alongside various Jamaican artists.
Hosted by The Vew Empire, the event will see Chris Brown share the stage with Jamaican stars like Sean Kingston, Teejay, Ding Dong, and more. Ryan Burke, Founder and CEO of BZR Weekend, unveiled ticket prices ranging from $45 to a whopping $15,000 for VVIP access during a press launch in Kingston.
Interestingly, this marks Chris Brown’s second time in Jamaica. His last appearance on the island was in 2010, when he performed with Elephant Man at Sumfest. Ryan Burke shared that Chris Brown is genuinely thrilled about this show, reflecting the artist’s enthusiasm to be a part of the project.
BZR Weekend, initially established in Florida, has expanded its events to Jamaica for the first time. The concert’s production is being led by a collaboration including Sharon Burke’s Solid Agency, Burke Bodley, VEW Live, LLC + PLXYBOY, and Jay Upscale.
As a beloved figure among Jamaican audiences, Chris Brown joins the ranks of American celebrities cherished by the locals. He holds the distinction of being the first high-profile artist to grace Jamaica’s stage in 2023. With hits like “Forever,” “Under The Influence,” and “Call Me Everyday” with Wizkid, Chris Brown’s performance promises to be a musical spectacle that resonates deeply with his fans.
Last year, Burna Boy’s inaugural performance on the island during his Love Damini Tour captivated Jamaican audiences, and other artists like Ja Rule and Ashanti have also been part of the festive season’s lineup.
