Earlier this week, Chris Brown was accused, arrested and held for questioning after a woman claimed he, and two members of his crew, violently raped her in Paris.
At the time, French officials said prosecutors had two days to decide whether to release Brown with conditions to keep him in France pending trial or to file preliminary charges in the case. But instead, according to TMZ, Brown was released without conditions, which suggests Brown is in the clear and/or details in the case are unclear.
Either way, upon the superstar singer’s release, his lawyer revealed that the two are gearing up to take immediate action against the accuser for slander.
“Chris Brown is free,” Raphael Chiche said. “No lawsuits were filed against him. He vigorously challenges the charges against him. A complaint for slanderous denunciation will be filed with the public prosecutor of Paris.”
While Brown prepares to sue his accuser, the investigation into the allegations is ongoing.
