Over the last few weeks Chris Brown and Royalty’s mother, Nia Guzman, have been battling it out in court. Nia took before a judge to restrict Chris’ custody, due to allegations of drug use and gang affiliation. According to Nia, Chris isn’t fit to care for Royalty, so she asked the judge to not only reduce the time he gets with their daughter, but she wanted his visits to be supervised more. If that wasn’t enough, Nia also requested an increase in child support. She’s currently receiving $2,500 a month, but would like her monthly payments increased to $16,000.
The judge wasn’t having it and decided to keep the preexisting agreement as is. Chris and Nia will continue to have joint legal and physical custody. Chris will still have custody of Royalty 12 days a month and his visitation will remain unmonitored.
Recently Nia and Chris publicly battled it out over Nia’s choice of attire for Royalty at dance class. According to Chris, he felt like his 2 year old was “dressed like she’s 16,” while Nia felt nothing was wrong with wearing a tutu to dance. Nia’s friend Victoria Rose even joined in, making some accusations about Chris parenting.
“[I’ll] respect Chris as a father when he estops smoking around the baby and causing her health issues,” said Victoria in a comment on Baller Alert’s post. “She’s two! Second hand smoke hurts her little lungs more but let’s not touch on those facts. Sorry Nia, I had to. Tired of seeing him throw slugs when you do nothing but take care of your girls 24/7 without the help of your mother or a nanny.”
