Liziane Gutierrez has recently revealed that she is the “new accuser” featured in the upcoming documentary “Chris Brown: A History of Violence.” But unfortunately, after sharing her identity, Gutierrez says that she has faced harassment and scrutiny. She took to Instagram to discuss the treatment she has received since making her story public.
Days ago, Gutierrez shared footage of a man approaching her and questioning if she was the woman who “made up lies about Chris” while she tried to ignore the situation. In the caption, Gutierrez explained that she chose to share the video as proof of what she has experienced since the reveal, adding that she understands why victims remain silent and not share their stories.
“I saw this in some pages and I decided to repost just to show you guys one of many examples of what I’ve been through. People harassing and threatening me, my son, and my family,” Gutierrez wrote. “I totally understand why some victims are scared to show their faces. Btw if you think it’s funny a woman being harassed by 2 guys, well, definitely the problem is not me, right.”
A few weeks ago, the trailer for the documentary was released, stating that a new accuser would be telling their story for the first time. Sometime later, Gutierrez took to Instagram to confirm that she was the new accuser in question. She posted the film’s trailer alongside a lengthy caption.
“‘Liar, want fame, ridiculous,’ and so on—I’ve heard that for years of my life since I decided to expose what happened to me in 2016. In fact, I don’t know if I’m psychologically prepared for everything that might come from my participation in this documentary (including financially because of the agreement that I unfortunately made with the person involved here), but I have no choice but to accept and shut up. We are several women, you really think we’re all liars? The hypocrisy is absurd,” Gutierrez wrote.
The trailer, which debuted last month, is set to provide in-depth information surrounding Brown’s domestic violence history. The voiceover in the clip says, “Chris Brown’s an amazing and talented musician, but let’s call a thing a thing. He’s an abuser of women. Consistently, unapologetically.” While the general public is aware of his 2009 physical assault incident with his former girlfriend, Rihanna, the documentary will explore other situations, including Gutierrez’s 2016 story.
