Chris Brown has just been hit with a new lawsuit, this time from a former housekeeper who claims his dog attacked her.
According to TMZ, a woman named Patricia Avila is suing the 31-year-old singer, claiming one of his dogs attacked her sister, grabbing hold of her limbs and causing her injury.
Avila said Brown had hired her and her sister to clean his home in Tarzana twice a week for $600 a day. The woman claims they were aware there were dogs in the house, but insisted they were always kept in a separate part of the property whenever they came to do their work.
Avila said one day Brown’s Caucasian Shepherd made its way to the backyard while her sister was working and attacked her sister, tearing her body to shreds, ripping 3 to 4 inches of skin off her arm before allegedly biting her face and leg.
Eventually, Avila claims they could get the dog off her sister and said Chris called 9-1-1.
Avila’s sister was transported to a hospital and treated for several days, and had to undergo a couple of surgeries. Since the harrowing ordeal, the woman claims she’s suffered a lot of emotional distress, including PTSD, severe anxiety, and panic attacks.
She’s suing Brown for damages, claiming he failed to protect them from the unreasonable risk of harm from the dog. Avila was not physically harmed in the attack, and it’s unclear if her sister is planning on filing a separate suit.
