Victory for Chris Brown! His hit-and-run case was dismissed even though prosecutors argued Chris deserved to be severely punished for it. However, the reason it got dismissed was because Brown and the victim struck a civil compromise.
They’re compromise was that the victim wanted no money because the damage was so minor and she wanted the case dismissed. But the L.A. City Attorney didn’t like that idea and argued to the judge this morning that Chris Brown was very aggressive toward the victim after the accident, calling her a “b*tch.”
The City Attorney also tried to argue that Brown is on felony probation and because he left the scene of an accident it was all the more serious. The judge wasn’t having the City Attorney’s argument though and dismissed the case. Brown’s lawyer Mark Geragos says, “the case never should have been filed in the first place. It’s unfortunate he was being prosecuted for who he is rather than what he’s done.”
