Mr. Big Not In Sex and the City Reboot

Chris “Mr. Big” Noth Will Not Be In ‘Sex And The City’ Reboot

It was already revealed that Samantha Jones’s character would be absent from the Sex and the City reboot coming to HBO Max this fall. Now, fans of the show might be further disappointed to learn that the character Mr. Big also didn’t make the cut.

Page Six first learned that Chris Noth would not return for his role as Carrie Bradshaw’s husband, John “Mr. Big” Preston, in “And Just Like That.” When we last saw Carrie and Big, they hit a rough patch in their marriage but decided to stick it out.

It is currently unclear how Big’s absence from the series will be addressed.

The outlet also learned that David Eigenberg, who played Miranda Hobbes’ husband Steve Brady, won’t be reprising his role either. But, there is still hope; a rep said Thursday that the actor is in negotiations to appear in the series.

“And Just Like That ” will focus on Carrie, Charlotte, and Miranda as they navigate their 50s in New York.
