Chris Noth has officially joined the cast of HBO Max’s “Sex and the City” spinoff series “And Just Like That,” after months of speculation and conflicting rumors.
Mr. Big, Sarah Jessica Parker’s on-screen love interest from the original HBO series’ six seasons and two follow-up movies will be played by Noth again.
Executive producer Michael Patrick King said in a statement, “I’m thrilled to be working with Chris again on ‘And Just Like That…’ How could we ever do a new chapter of the ‘Sex And The City’ story without our Mr. Big?”
Since the reboot was announced, there has been significant conjecture about Noth’s role in the series. Page Six first claimed in February that Noth would not appear on the show, but the actor then refuted the claim in an Instagram post.
Noth will play alongside Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis from the original “Sex and the City,” as well as Sara Ramrez, who was just confirmed as a newbie to the franchise. Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones in the original cast of “Sex and the City,” will not be returning.
