The new film,” Spiral” is executive produced by icon, Chris Rock and is based on the 2004 scary movie franchise,” Saw.”
” Saw” focuses on a barbarous mastermind who unchains a sadistic game of murder, all in the name of exacting moral corruption.⠀⠀⠀⠀
In the trailer, Chris Rock, who plays ‘Detective Banks,’ is pictured en route to a crime scene. He and his partner Max Minghella discover the crime scene, which reveals someone is hunting down cops and savagely murdering them.
Before the two-minute trailer comes to its dramatic halt, Chris Rock is pictured in a room with his wrist chained to a pipe, lifting a saw as Cary Elwes did in the original film. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Movie icon Samuel L. Jackson appears in the trailer as a decorated police veteran who can be seen scoping out a menacing scene. He cautiously approaches the infamous Jigsaw doll while wielding his gun before his entire head and torso can be seen completely engulfed by a chain, and forced to play the sick, murderous game of ‘survive or die.’
” Spiral: from the book of Saw” will be the ninth installment of the ‘Saw’ franchise. The film premieres in theaters on May 15.
