A private investigator employed by NBA player Christian Wood is encountering difficulties enforcing a court order that bars his ex-girlfriend, Yasmine Lopez, from within 100 yards of him.
According to the PI, Lopez’s Porter Ranch, California, residence “appeared vacant with lights off and no activity within the residence,” and no car in the driveway.
Based on his search, he found that Lopez had a new address for a residence in North Carolina.
Lopez “is a social media influencer and model who travels extensively, and this case would require far more investigative research and possible surveillance of known locations where the respondent visits in order to effect personal service,” he said.
Wood recently obtained a restraining order against Lopez, claiming she caused him mental distress, as they share an 8-month-old son named Kobe Sean, and they parted ways in December 2022.
Last month, Wood claimed that Lopez and her friends trespassed onto his property, scaling his fence to reach his Mercedes-Benz, which she subsequently scratched. He reported that she then entered another vehicle and successfully opened the front gate before departing from his yard.
Neighbors witnessed Lopez on Wood’s property, prompting them to alert the police, resulting in her arrest. Wood recounted that law enforcement instructed him to retrieve his son from Lopez’s friend’s house, but the friend declined to release the child to him.
He accused the friend of “making allegations against me and misrepresenting facts to the media to gain favor.”
In his filing, Wood detailed two separate incidents where she vandalized his property: once in January 2023, when she spray-painted his Lambo, and again in August 2023, when Lopez allegedly broke into his home.
Wood informed the courts of his suspicion that his ex-girlfriend was coordinating property vandalism with his NBA schedule while also seeking joint legal custody and primary physical custody of their son.
As per RadarOnline, the judge granted Wood a temporary restraining order request. A future hearing will decide its permanence, awaiting the serving of paperwork to Lopez.
