What if the device you’re reading this on right now was being used to listen to your conversations? According to a former CIA operative, that nightmare scenario might be real.
John Kiriakou, a former high-ranking agent who once led counterterrorism efforts in Pakistan, has just dropped a bombshell in a sit-down interview with LADbible. When asked directly if the CIA can listen to people through their phones and cameras, he didn’t hesitate. “Yes,” he said. “I hate to say it.”
Kiriakou, who worked inside the agency for 14 years, says the surveillance capabilities are way beyond what most people imagine. He pointed to the massive 2017 “Vault 7” leak that revealed CIA cyber weapons. “They can intercept anything from anyone,” he warned.
But it gets darker.
“They can remotely take control of your car through the car’s embedded computer,” he claimed. “To do what? To make you drive off a bridge into a tree, to make you kill yourself, and make it look like an accident.”
That’s not all. Your smart TV? It may be spying too.
“They can take over your smart television and turn the speaker into a microphone… even when the TV is turned off.”
He left viewers stunned with one final chilling remark. “God knows what else they can do that hasn’t been leaked.”
For many, it’s confirmation of a long-held suspicion. For others, it’s a terrifying wake-up call. Either way, Kiriakou’s warnings suggest the surveillance state is more real than most ever imagined.
