Ciara Talks Parenthood, Tamar Shade & Future On The Breakfast Club (VIDEO)

Ciara stopped by Power 105’s “The Breakfast Club” this morning where she talked about her upcoming album, “Jackie,” falling in love and of course motherhood. 

Ciara and Envy traded parenting stories of some of the crazy things their kids have done. Ciara proclaims that her son, Future, is her greatest joy and that she’s finally found her purpose as a woman. She goes into few details about her current relationship with his father, but says that they do what’s necessary to co-parent. “We’re cool,” says Ciara, “We have a child together and I think as a parent it’s important that you communicate even if we don’t talk every day. Our son is the connection between he and I and I think as parents it’s important that we be able to communicate.” As far as the flack she caught for dating a man with multiple baby mamas Ciara says she went with her heart. “I’m human and I went with love in that situation. You can be with someone who has no kids and he can be the biggest jerk in the world. You can be with someone who’s super wealthy and he can be the biggest jerk in the world. At the end of the day I rolled with love and my son’s father, I really believe, had the greatest intentions to love me and a beautiful thing came from that.”

Speaking of his baby mamas, Ciara hints that she doesn’t really see them much but she’s still relatively close with one of them.

The Breakfast Club also touches on recent accounts of people coming for Ciara, namely Jermaine Dupri and Tamar. In regards to JD Ciara brushes it off saying, “I think he ended up correcting that statement. Me and Jermaine are cool but Jermaine is an expressive person. He’s always been expressive over the years. ” When asked about Tamar liking a shady meme about her, Ciara says she doesn’t really know what the motives were behind that. “I think she corrected that too and I don’t know what she was trying to say. I mean, if she was trying to say something crazy I really don’t care but every time I’ve seen Tamar it’s always been love. I saw her say something about her not trying to say anything bad by it so I’m going to take it as that.”

I did appreciate Envy asking Ciara if she felt she fell in love quickly, though. I think from judging from her last few relationships, many of us have drawn the conclusion that Ciara was always in a desperate search for love. When asked, she hesitated a moment before gathering her thoughts and giving a pretty P.C. answer.”I think it’s about going with the flow. I used to be the type of person who would date for a year before going to the next point. For me, I think in life you can’t really call it. You don’t know what a situation is going to be. You can take a year, you can take 6 months, you can take 2. My dad met my mom and after 9 days they were married and they’ve been together for 31 years. So, you never know.”
