Yesterday R&B singer Ciara visited The White House to advocate for Covid vaccinations for children
During her visit, Ciara was accompanied by her three children, all under the age of seven, as part of a drive to vaccinate children aged 5 to 11.
Ciara was scheduled to meet with First Lady Jill Biden and physician Hina Talib at the White House to highlight the significance of the vaccine.
The Pfizer-BioNTech Covid vaccine was approved for use in children by the CDC two weeks ago. It was also approved for use in children aged 5 to 11 years old in case of emergencies.
Since then, according to the Associated Press, approximately 10% of eligible children have received a dose of the vaccine.
After the Pfizer vaccine was authorized for use in children, Biden launched a nationwide campaign to promote Covid vaccinations for kids.
Ciara is the latest celebrity to visit The White House in a series of celebrity partnerships to promote the use of Covid vaccinations.
