On Friday, the Cleveland Cavaliers took on the Atlanta Hawks at the Philips Arena in the Peach State, where they set a new NBA regular-season record for three-pointers made in a single game, Bleacher Report states.
The reigning NBA champs drained 25 treys, topping the Houston Rockets and Denver Nuggets, who each held the previous record with 24 threes a piece from earlier this season.
Initially, the team was set to become the third team to hold a share in the old record, however, in the final minute, Kyle Korver stepped behind the arc to drain the record-breaking triple.
On this historic night, LeBron James dropped six threes, Kyrie Irving hit five from beyond the arc, while Korver, Deron Williams, and Channing Frye drained three from deep.
The next step for the team is to take their talents to South Beach to face the Miami Heat at the America Airlines Arena.
