Our favorite big red dog is returning to television. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Clifford the Big Red Dog was first introduced to us by Norman Bridwell, author, and illustrator of the book in 1963.
Each episode will contain exciting adventures, original songs to encourage children to listen to different music genres and will encourage students to use their imaginations and enhance their reading skills. ⠀⠀
Unlike in the original, Clifford and his owner Emily Elizabeth will be able to communicate with one another.
“Emily Elizabeth is a stronger, more empowered lead character to inspire today’s girls — and for the very first time, she and Clifford will be speaking to each other, making their bond even more special,” a news release from Scholastic Entertainment read.
Kevin Del Aguila will be the head writer for the show, Aguila also wrote the opening song for the show as well as songs that will be heard in a few episodes.
“Clifford the Big Red Dog” will premiere on Amazon Prime Dec. 6 and on PBS KIDS Dec. 7 and plans to be 39 episodes throughout 3 seasons.
