After being found unconscious from a drug overdose in a Nevada brothel, Lamar Odom will not face any cocaine charges.
As stated District Attorney Angela Bello, based on evidence in the case, it can not be proved that Odom used the drug during his three days at the brothel. Therefore Odom can not not be charged with unlawful use of cocaine or being under the influence of a controlled substance.
It’s “unlikely it could [be] established beyond a reasonable doubt he actually ingested, or was impaired by, the drug during the time he was within the jurisdiction of Nye County,” Bello said in a statement.
After looking over everything it was determined Odom wasn’t in possession of any cocaine, and what was discovered in his system had already metabolized, thus making it difficult to determine when it was used.
As of right now, no further charges have been presented to prosecutors.
