Coi Leray believes it will take time for music fans to come around because she’s fresh and new.
Her recent performance at Rolling Loud didn’t go too well. The crowd didn’t seem to be interested in her music or her two-step stomping.
TMZ caught up with the newcomer outside The Ivy in Los Angeles and asked her about her Rolling Loud performance and the videos which showed the crowd mostly standing around.
But Coi feels like the crowd wasn’t into her because she’s unlike anything they’ve ever seen. She also blamed the music industry for putting out too much of the same thing.
According to Coi, artists aren’t doing anything new, so they don’t gravitate to her unique style of music. She said it takes time for people to get used to something new, and apparently, that’s what happened at Rolling Loud.
Still, she’s happy to be the topic of discussion—good or bad.
