It looks like Colin Kaepernick will be a San Francisco 49er at least until the year 2020 after signing a 6-year extension with the team worth over $110 million. This lands Kaep amongst the NFL’s top 10 paid quarterbacks, with a record $61 million guaranteed.
Niners coach Jim Harbaugh has maintained all along that his star quarterback should get a big contract. “He deserves that. That’s what he deserves,” Harbaugh said in March. “That’s what the market pays for that job. Nobody attacks it more than he does. Nobody wants to be great like he does.”
“Colin’s hard work and dedication have played an integral role in the recent success of the 49ers organization,” 49ers general manager Trent Baalke said in a statement. “His work ethic, leadership and on-field production have positively influenced our team, and we look forward to his continued growth in all areas.”
Colin is out here killing it. Good for him!
