Colin Kaepernick’s lawyer says NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is lying about NFL teams not choosing Kaep because of his skill, or lack thereof.
Earlier this week, Goodell was questioned why Kaepernick didn’t appear on any NFL rosters, to which he replied, “I’ve said it many times—privately, publicly—that our clubs are the ones that make decisions on players that they want to have on their roster…I think if a team decides that Colin Kaepernick or any other player can help their team win, that’s what they’ll do. They want to win, and they make those decisions individually in the best interest of their club.”
But Kaepernick’s attorney, Mark Geragos said that’s a bald-faced lie. Geragos appeared on the “Today Show” on Thursday and explained how choosing Mark Sanchez over Kaep doesn’t make sense, as Kaepernick’s stats are far more superior. “Anybody who believes that will believe that Mark Sanchez was a better choice,” Geragos said. He added several other quarterbacks who are “well past their prime” were also signed this season.
TMZ reports Geragos also questioned why NFL teams didn’t give Kaep a workout in 2018.”Why didn’t anybody ever bring him in and see where his skills were at? I think the whole thing is basically a ruse.” Geragos believes Goodell’s statements from NFL Address will only support Kaep collision case against the NFL. “The collusion actually was the NFL kowtowing to [Donald Trump].”
His last statements were “There isn’t anybody who’s got a couple of neurons firing that wouldn’t say this is collusive activity.”
