College football player Quaydarius Davis is under fire after disturbing footage seemingly shows him assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Ja’Yunna Monae.

The incident reportedly took place shortly after she ended their relationship. In the video, Davis appears to choke Monae until she loses consciousness, then drags her aside while she remains limp and unresponsive.
Monae responded to the footage on Twitter, confirming her safety and intent to seek justice.
“I’m ok, my downstairs neighbors got cameras, my upstairs neighbors got cameras pointed directly towards my door. Everything is captured…I called the police, my neighbors called the police…I will be pressing charges, and NO I AM NOT GOING BACK. I’m the one who initiated the break up cause so many red flags were occurring.”
