After eight years of marriage, Scandal star Columbus Short is being divorced by his wife Tanee McCall-Short, citing the date of separation as September 9, 2013.. Tanee filed for divorce on Wednesday and is seeking sole custody of their 19-month-old daughter.
As part of the divorce Tanee is seeking spousal support and for her estranged husband to pay all of her legal fees.
This will be Columbus’ second divorce. His first marriage ended after the former dancer admitted he had a fling with Britney Spears in 2003. His wife, Brandi Short, was 8 months pregnant at the time.
Why his wife is filing for SOLE CUSTODY of their daughter? In my opinion, she is doing this just to get more money out of Columbus Short and to have an “easy lifestyle” off his dime. A lot of mothers today use their kids as pawns in their relationships to railroad the fathers without understanding that these things affects the child down the road. I really hope he fight this thing to the end. He already has a disadvantage because he is a man. We all know how the court system works when it comes to custody battles. The courts usually sides with the mother initially and the father has to fight for equal custody. This will truly be an uphill battle for Short.
Good luck bro!
