Lamar sparked heated discussions with a line from “Wacced Out Murals,” the intro to his surprise album “GNX.”
“Don’t let no white comedian talk about no Black woman, that’s law,” he rapped.
Many speculated this was directed at Schulz, known for controversial jokes about Black women on his podcast “Flagrant” with Akaash Singh. Schulz’s remarks, laughed at by guests James Duncan and Fuhad Dawodu of the “Shxtsngigs” podcast, received widespread criticism. Duncan and Dawodu later apologized, but Schulz refused to back down.
Now, Schulz has responded sarcastically on his show.
“Nobody has respected women more, through art, than rappers. So I completely understand how a rapper could look at a comedian telling a joke and be like, ‘Yo y’all need to switch that s**t up. How dare y’all keep saying your wives are annoying?’” Schulz mockingly rapped offensive lyrics, saying, “B***hes ain’t nothing but h**s and tricks I beat my b***h with a stick.”
Co-host Singh joined in, taking shots at Lamar, referencing his past alleged opposition to Spotify censoring R. Kelly and collaborations with Chris Brown, known for his history of alleged violence against women. Singh’s claim was inaccurate, as it was TDE CEO Anthony Tiffith who threatened to pull music from Spotify.
Schulz ended by joking, “What a time to be alive, where rappers gotta talk about comedians for clout.”
