Comedian George Lopez has recently voiced his frustration with Hollywood’s silence regarding Donald Trump’s mass deportation policies.

In a recent interview with BigBoyTV, Lopez remarked, “When the only promise you keep is to mass deportations… I think the mass deportation thing is crazy.”
He also emphasized that while mass deportations are occurring, largely impacting the Hispanic community, the entertainment industry seems more preoccupied with discussing films like “Emilia Pérez” and celebrities such as Selena Gomez, rather than addressing the actual people affected by these policies.
Lopez’s comments come amid heightened concerns over Trump’s aggressive immigration enforcement strategies. In his second term, the controversial figure has implemented a series of executive orders aimed at curbing illegal immigration. Notably, he has declared a national emergency at the U.S.-Mexico border, deployed thousands of troops to bolster border security, and initiated immediate deportations for individuals crossing the border illegally. These measures have been accompanied by reinstating the “Remain in Mexico” policy and efforts to end birthright citizenship.
Furthermore, the administration has expanded the use of expedited removal procedures, allowing for the swift removal of undocumented immigrants without court hearings. Plans are also underway to construct large-scale detention facilities, including at Guantanamo Bay, to accommodate the increasing number of detainees.
Critics argue that these policies not only strain diplomatic relations but also pose significant humanitarian concerns. The rapid implementation and severity of these measures have led to widespread debate about their legality and ethical implications.
