It seems like Comedy Central can’t get enough of Charlamagne Tha God. The cable network just renewed Charlamagne’s “Tha God’s Honest Truth With Charlamagne tha God” for another season.
The renewal of the late-night show came just two months after the first 12-episode ended. The half-hour series featured several guests, including Vice President Kamala Harris, Meagan Good, Soulja Boy, and many more.
In addition to the guest, the show also featured sketches, deep dives, and “social experiments” to gain Charlamagne’s take on the topics.
“We are building a cultural institution with Tha God’s Honest Truth. A destination for those who are unafraid to take on social issues. With honest conversations meant to challenge, educate, and by the looks of the comments on IMDb, infuriate,” Charlamagne said. “It’s not easy getting a season two of a TV show nowadays. So I don’t take this blessing for granted at all. Salute to [showrunner] Rachael Edwards, Aaron McGruder, Stephen Colbert, MTV Entertainment Studios, and the whole TGHT team, who I could not do this without. I THANK GOD FOR IT ALL!”
“There is no one on television like Charlamagne,” says Colbert. “I’m excited to see what truths Tha God gets honest about in season two.”
Charlamagne executive produces the show with comedian and television host Stephen Colbert. The second season of “Tha God’s Honest Truth” will premiere this summer.
