BET is bringing the laughs this summer with the return of one of its most beloved comedy staples. The network has officially announced The ComicView Reunion, taking place June 6 and 7 at The Miracle Theatre in Los Angeles as part of BET Experience 2025, presented by SheaMoisture.
Hosted by comedic heavyweights Chris Spencer and Sheryl Underwood, the reunion will feature a powerhouse lineup including fan-favorite Rickey Smiley. The two-night event revives the energy and legacy of ComicView, the iconic BET series that helped launch the careers of some of the biggest names in stand-up. With surprise guests, bold cultural commentary, and a mix of comedy legends and rising stars, it’s shaping up to be one of the most anticipated moments of BET Weekend.
Spencer, a veteran comedian, writer, and producer, brings decades of experience and a reputation for discovering talent, while Underwood, an Emmy-winning host of The Talk, is known for her sharp wit and fearless humor. Add Rickey Smiley’s magnetic presence and storytelling to the mix, and fans can expect a nostalgic yet fresh celebration of Black comedic excellence.
The ComicView Reunion is just one highlight of a stacked BET Experience weekend, which leads into the BET Awards on June 9. The weekend will also include the popular BETX Open Casting Call on June 7, giving aspiring actors a rare opportunity to audition live for BET+ originals like Diarra From Detroit, Carl Weber’s The Family Business, a new Tyler Perry Studios series, and the upcoming Varnell Hill project.
