Amazon closed a deal with Paramount for $125 million to stream Eddie Murphy’s Coming to America sequel digitally on Amazon Prime Video, according to Variety.
The movie is about Murphy’s return to America after discovering that he has a son in Queens that he never knew about. To honor his father’s dying wish, he returns to American to prepare his son to be the newly crowned prince of Zamunda, a fictional country in the film.
The film features an all-star cast – Wesley Snipes, Leslie Jones, Arsenio Hall, James Earl Jones, Tracey Morgan, Shari Headley, and KiKi Layne.
The movie will be released on December 18.
