The Call to Unite, the 24-hour live streaming event, will bring together over 200 celebrities (virtually).

Created by Special Olympics CEO Time Shriver, the event’s lineup includes Yo-Yo Ma, Martin Luther King III, Oprah Winfrey, former President George W. Bush, Questlove, Charlamagne Tha God and many more.

In a press release, organizers stated that “The Call to Unite will stand in solidarity with those experiencing pain, fear, loneliness, and grief — and offer hope and support as we build a new future together[…] Throughout the event, global leaders will join citizens of the world in sharing practices, lessons, songs, performances, reflections, and more to help us turn the pain of this moment into possibility for tomorrow.”

The live streaming event will take place on May 1st, 8 p.m. EST and will continue through the following day at the same time. Viewers can watch the stream at Unite.us, SiriusXM Stars channel 109, and all major social media platforms.

Viewers interested in donating relief funds for those affected by the coronavirus can do so through The Call to Unite partners, GiveDirectly, and Points of Light.
