A Police Officer was arrested for attempting to lure a child for sex in an Atlantic City sex sting operated by a concerned group of citizens.
The sting was done by a concerned citizens group affiliated with the Colorado Ped Patrol. They then confronted the men who thought they were talking to children and took screenshots of the interactions. The group forwarded the screenshots to the police.
The police officer busted during the sting was arrested along with three other men. The suspects are Jose Machuca, 51, of Hyattsville, Maryland; Sambatrimiaina Raminoson, 26, of Atlantic City; Eugene Pulley, 49, of Philadelphia; and the Bucks County police officer Clifford Horn, 54, of Chalfont, Pennsylvania. Horn was since suspended without pay.
According to local reports, law enforcement stated that three of the four suspects actually traveled to Atlantic City, including Clifford Horn, a corporal for the Central Bucks Regional Police Department.
The Bucks County district attorney confirmed in a statement that since the incident occurred, Cpl. Clifford Horn, 54, has been arrested and added that they have “assigned personnel to assist New Jersey authorities including prosecuting any criminal activity that occurred in Bucks County.”
The DA also stated, “no one is above the law” and that his office is beginning the process of “evaluating all criminal cases in which Cpl. Horn was involved.”
The Central Bucks Regional Police Department released a statement about the incident, “The Central Bucks Regional Police Commission, including the Boroughs of Chalfont, Doylestown and New Britain; Chief Karl Knott, and the men and women of the Central Bucks Regional Police Department are encouraging a thorough investigation surrounding the allegations and arrest of Corporal Clifford Horn. Investigations are taking place in multiple jurisdictions across two states. At this time, investigations are in the early stages. The Police Commission and CBRPD hold in profound regard not only a police officer’s commitment to uphold the law but also their commitment to law enforcement’s code of ethics and conduct in the community. At an Emergency Executive Session last night, the Police Commission directed Chief Karl Knott to place Corporal Clifford Horn on suspension from the Central Bucks Regional Police Department without pay effective immediately. This directive will be ratified at the next public meeting.”
Law enforcement is currently putting this case together and is setting forth to investigate how many victims could be out there. Anyone with information on this serious matter is encouraged to call the police.
