Wiz Khalifa’s work ethic has been going into making his new album Rolling Papers 2, which you can imagine is an exciting project. However, less than exciting news came, due to the passing of Wiz’s sister.
At the age of 32, Dorien “Lala” Thomaz passed away on Feb. 20. Dorien’s mother was by her side. On Instagram, Dorien’s mother leaves nothing but peace and faith in an Instagram post. Utilizing the wise words of Robert Harling’s book, Steel Magnolias, her message was read clear.
“… there was no noise, no tremble, just peace. Oh God(dess), I realized as a woman how lucky I am. I was there when that wonderful creature drifted into my life and I was there when she drifted out. It was the most precious moment of my life.”
Wiz took to his Twitter account this evening (Feb. 24) to thank everyone for the well wishes and prayers for his family. Wiz’s Twitter is how most found out about the death of his sibling.
“The loss of my sibling has been the hardest thing I’ve had to deal with but with your prayers and well wishes my family will get though this.”
As Wiz and his family gets through this lost, more prayers are being sent their way. There hasn’t been a cause of death announced yet and the family is looking to keeping the funeral service private.
