A woman in Connecticut allegedly opened fire in the lobby of a police department on Thursday night.
The Bristol Police Department posted on its Facebook that Suzanne Laprise of Plainville, Connecticut was arrested after firing multiple rounds into the front lobby desk office window.
The department reported that Laprise, 51, arrived at the scene at 10:35 p.m. while the desk was unoccupied and fired additional rounds at the desk’s bullet-resistant glass after officers attempted to negotiate with her.

Luckily no one was hurt during the incident that authorities are calling a “truly life threatening” incident.
Following the incident, the department also announced on its Facebook page that the lobby was “closed for walk-in complaints to allow for repairs and maintenance.”
Laprise was released from the hospital early Friday morning after receiving an evaluati… She was charged with multiple counts that included Illegal Discharge of Firearm, Illegal carry of firearms under the influence of drug/alcohol, Criminal Use of weapon, Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, Criminal Attempt/Murder with Special Circumstance, and Breach of Peace 2nd Degree.
Initially she was held on a $3,000,000 bail, Judge Maureen M. Keegan lowered the amount to $1 million during an arraignment, the Inside reported. The judge asked Laprise to come up with $300,000 herself to be released, reports CT Insider.
