Coolio Gets A Permanent Headstone Marker, Despite Being Cremated, To Honor His Remembrance

Coolio’s family can now pay their respects to the late rapper after a headstone was placed in his remembrance.

According to TMZ, the rapper’s family has received a permanent headstone marker to honor his life and accomplishments. The family was given the headstone by Cemetery Tim, who’s known to create headstone for deceased icons like Eazy E and Nate Dogg.

Tim says he got in contact with Coolio’s girlfriend Mimi and discussed creating a headstone for the legendary rapper. Well, Tim made it happened and delivered the marker to the family this week.

The headstone was placed at an undisclosed location that’s not accessible to the public. Even though Coolio was cremated, his family wanted the headstone so they could pay their respects to their love one in private.

The marker features images of Coolio plus a Hollywood Walk of Fame star. It even has a statement at the bottom that reads, “I’m home now in gangsta’s paradise.”

The late rapper was died in September at a friend’s house in Los Angeles. Coolio was visiting a longtime friend and it stepped away to use the bathroom. After a few minutes, the friend called for Coolio but did not get a response. The friend eventually went into the bathroom and found him unresponsive, laying of the floor. Coolio was pronounced dead on the scene and paramedics ruled his cause of death was from cardiac arrest.
