‘Cops’ Revival Gets Premiere Date At Fox Nation

Two years after being canceled, “Cops” gets a September premiere date for the first three episodes of the new season.

Season 34 of “Cops” will debut on Fox Nation, which picked up the reality show in 2021, on Sept. 30. Three 20-minute episodes will be available for streaming, followed by new episodes on Fridays at 6 p.m. ET.

“It has been nearly one year since we greenlit ‘Cops,’ and the reaction has been positively overwhelming,” said Jason Klarman, president of Fox Nation. “Our subscribers continue to flock to the series, and we’re excited to provide our engaged audience with more of the exclusive content they have come to rely on from Fox Nation.”

The series is one of several non-news programs added to the conservative network’s streaming platform. Fox Nation airs “America’s Most Wanted,” a true crime show hosted by Nancy Grace, and features original Christmas movies.

“Cops” was the nation’s longest-running reality show before being axed by Paramount Network in the summer of 2020. The show was pulled from the network’s lineup in response to the protests against police brutality following George Floyd’s death at the hands of Minnesota police officers.

The show was one of several projects with police-related content that was pulled or rewritten at the time. For example, A&E’s “Live P.D.” met the same fate as “Cops,” canceled after four seasons.
