Cordae spoke about his heavily talked about Diddy lyrics in his single, “06 Dreamin.” However, the rapper doesn’t want it interpreted as a diss.

In case you’ve never heard the track, Cordae raps, “Ayo, my mom had once tried out for Making the Band/ She made it to the third episode, was taking a stand/ You know the season where Puff made ’em run six miles?/ Now look what happened to Puff, crazy how it worked out.”
During a recent chat with “The Breakfast Club,” Charlamagne tha God asked the rapper to expound on the bar and if he believed Diddy’s current legal situation was the result of karma.
“That’s one way that it can be interpreted. It can be interpreted in a bunch of different ways. It just depends on what lens,” he explained. “I’m super pro-Black and like publicly, I don’t ever want to speak bad about another Black man. But d**n, this n***a’s making it hard.”
Diddy is currently awaiting trial, facing charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. Countless alleged victims have accused the Revolt founder of drugging, raping, and beating them on various occasions. In one of his most recent lawsuits, a woman accused the 55-year-old of sexually assaulting her with Jay-Z when she was just 13 years old following an MTV Video Music Awards after-party. Both rappers have denied this claim, with Hov vowing to fight to clear his name.
No matter how Cordae truly feels about Diddy and his piling legal woes, the 27-year-old does not want to say anything too negatively about the once-adored businessman.
“Man, let’s leave this s**t alone, man. There’s no right answer to this s**t. I tried to motherf**king juke around this s**t. But yeah, to my point, I don’t ever want to publicly speak down on another Black man,” he added.
