Check Your Fridge: Costco’s Kirkland Tuna Poke Recalled in 33 States Over Listeria Scare

Costco shoppers are being warned to check their refrigerators for a popular meal item that could make them sick.

The FDA has issued a recall for Kirkland Signature Ahi Tuna Wasabi Poke after Listeria monocytogenes was detected in the green onions used in the product. Over 3,300 pounds of the tuna dish were distributed to Costco stores in 33 states, with all of it packaged and sold on September 18th.

The recalled item is labeled “Kirkland Signature Ahi Tuna Wasabi Poke” with item number 17193. It comes in a clear clamshell container and has a sell-by date of September 22nd. If you bought it this week, it might still be in your fridge.

Listeria infection can cause fever and digestive issues in healthy individuals, but for pregnant people, seniors, and those with weakened immune systems, it can become life-threatening.
