Over the weekend, newlyweds honeymooning in Florida were arrested and hit with a slew of charges for their involvement in the kidnapping and rape of a woman in Hialeah.
According to reports, 32-year-old Rashada Hurley and 37-year-old Timothy Lowe spotted the 27-year-old victim in the parking lot of a local supermarket. As the couple approached the woman, Hurley got her out of her car and knocked the woman unconscious. The woman said she then woke with Hurley strangling her as Lowe drove her car.
Officials say Hurley used the woman’s credit card and license to secure a motel room. There, the couple reportedly raped the woman and forced her to perform explicit acts on them both. As the night went on, the woman says the newlyweds got distracted and she managed to leave the premises.
The next day, the newlyweds went to a local convenience store, naked and stole sodas. Shortly after, officials arrested the couple and charged them with kidnapping, carjacking, robbery and sexual battery, after the victim identified the couple in a line-up.
Both Hurley and Lowe have been denied bond.
