Court Denies Jonathan Majors’ Request to Overturn Conviction

Jonathan Majors recently faced a setback in his criminal case when a New York court denied his motion to overturn a guilty verdict on Wednesday. This decision means that the conviction remains in place, and Majors is set to be sentenced next week.

Majors’ legal team had sought to have the conviction set aside, arguing issues with the prosecution’s narrative, especially concerning the events that unfolded on the night in question. The defense contended that the prosecution shifted its focus from an alleged assault that Grace Jabbari claimed occurred inside their vehicle to actions that took place outside the vehicle, which ultimately led to Majors’ conviction on charges of assault and harassment.

Despite arguments from Majors’ team challenging the justification of the charges, the court ruled against the motion, affirming the conviction. With this, Majors is now facing sentencing on April 8, with potential outcomes ranging from probation to a maximum of one year in prison, based on the judge’s decision.
