Additional details have surfaced surrounding the untimely death of Atlanta rapper Trouble.
Tuesday, the arrested warrant obtained by CBS46 reporter Tori Cooper, revealed that Jamichael Jones, Trouble’s accused killer, is the ex-boyfriend of the woman the rapper was visiting. According to the court docs, the woman told police she and Jones broke up approximately the week prior because Jones was jobless and did not assist with bills. They had been dating for three years.
The woman also told responding officers at the scene that she and Trouble, whose real name is Mariel Semonte Orr, were asleep in her bed when she woke up to Jones punching her in the face. She said Jones then began fighting Trouble and she jump in, and that’s when Jones pulled out a gun and shot Trouble before fleeing the apartment.
Obtained surveillance footage showed Jones entering the apartment complex on June 5 at 3:14 a.m. and leaving at 3:21 a.m.
Early Tuesday Jones turned himself in and was denied bond at his first court appearance. He is facing murder, aggravated assault, battery and home invasion charges for Orr’s death.
