Houston Rockets front man, James Harden, has been subpoenaed and will have to appear in an attorney’s office on December 15 to give his disposition. Harden is being called to testify in a civil suit filed against VLive Vintage Steakhouse in Houston, TX as it relates to an assault on Moses Malone Jr.
Earlier this year, Moses Malone Jr. was the victim of assault and robbery at Houston’s popular gentlemen’s club. According to Malone Jr.’s lawyer, George Farah, about $15,000 worth of David Yurman jewelry was stolen from his client. Farah believes the establishment’s security was complicit in aiding Malone Jr. As a result, Malone Jr. filed a civil suit.
It is the defense’s position that Malone Jr. was attacked following his social media post referring to James Harden’s camp prices. “Don’t he make WAY more $ then (sic) Donald Driver???? But, he charging 249$ & the inner city kids have NO CHANCE to go to his camp. Hollywood Harden #Fact,” Malone Jr. wrote on Facebook earlier this year.
Shortly after, Malone Jr. was attacked visiting the gentlemen’s club VLive. Malone Jr. believes Harden grew angry and sent his entourage to attack him. Four of the assailants were seen with firearms. VLive representative, Carl A. Moore, refutes those claims. “I don’t believe Mr. Harden was at the club and I definitely don’t believe he had anything to do with an attack on Mr. Malone,” said Moore. “And so, the club’s position is that Mr. Malone is a regular of the club. We would have done everything we could to make sure he was safe.”
According to previous reports, after the men allegedly attacked Malone Jr. , they were allowed to enter the establishment without being stopped. It is unclear if Harden has any affiliation with the assault of Malone Jr., but Malone Jr feels he is related to the incident.
