Cowboys WR Dez Bryant #ThrowsUpTheX at the NCAA

Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver Dez Bryant had a few things to say about the NCAA and their treatment of college football players. When playing college football at Okalahoma State, Bryant was suspended for lying to the NCAA about a legal dinner he had with Deion Sanders. Bryant stated that he lied because he was scared and when he admitted his wrongdoing the NCAA suspended him indefinitely.

Bryant was in trouble because he lied about the dinner even though the dinner was not a violation to the NCAA rules. According to TulsaWorld.com, Bryant violated NCAA Bylaw 10.1, which addresses “unethical conduct” and “knowingly furnishing the NCAA or the individual’s institution false or misleading information concerning the individual’s involvement in or knowledge of matters relevant to a possible violation of an NCAA regulation.” Now Bryant is sharing his thoughts about Texas A&M’s Quarterback Johnny Manziel and his current NCAA investigation.

Bryant says, “Hell Yeah I’ll be MAD,”  if Manziel does not get suspended. He says he does not want to see Manziel suspended, but he wants the NCAA to work on how they do things. Im confused. How will you be mad if he does not get in trouble but you do not want to see him get in trouble???? Bryant then goes on to share his thoughts on whether college football players should be paid. He says YES! He explains his position and then he says, “He (Johnny Manziel) should be able to do whatever he feels as long as it’s legal and I don’t think there’s anything legal about signing a picture of yourself and making money off himself.” Well sir, it is against the NCAA rules for a student-athlete to do this and that would make this ILLEGAL! I am just going to #ThrowUpTheX at this entire situation.
