On Tuesday afternoon, Credit Karma was trending on Twitter after users shared their experiences with the company’s credit score system.
The service has continuously been called out for differences between their credit scores and other credit services’ scores. Many users have expressed that Credit Karma’s credit score reporting is usually significantly lower than other services. Back in 2019, Credit Karma responded to the discrepancies in a statement to CNBC. They stated that it is “unlikely that a consumer will get the same credit score that his or lender is using at the time of a loan application,” and suggested that people stick with one credit score source and get to know that source’s trends.
Nevertheless, in true Twitter fashion, the company was dragged for these disparities. Check out some of Twitter’s best reactions below.

credit karma uses a scoring system called the VantageScore, which is entirely useless. What you should be looking for is your FICO scores. usually your credit card provider or bank provides a free score every month from one major bureau! https://t.co/r4KBju4Lpn
