Cryptocurrency Website Sues Australian Woman After Accidentally Sending Her Millions

A website for cryptocurrency trading has filed a lawsuit against an Australian woman after it accidentally transferred her over $10 million.

An Australian woman named Thevamanogari Manivel is going to have to face cryptocurrency trading platform Crypto.com in court after she allegedly took AUD 10.5 million from the company. According to PC Mag, back in May, the woman requested a refund of AUD 68, but the company accidentally transferred her millions.

The company didn’t realize it had made a mistake until it performed an audit in December. After receiving the money, she transferred AUD 10.1 million to another account and used AUD 1.35 million to buy herself a five-bedroom home for her sister.

Now, the website wants its money back, and it’s taking her to court to get it. If she doesn’t respond, she could be charged with contempt of court. Their court date is set for October.
