Culture Creators will celebrate the accomplishments of Swizz Beatz and D-Nice at the fifth annual Innovators & Leaders Awards Brunch.
The award show aims to celebrate African American culture at the highest level and push the envelope for diversity. The event has partnered with YouTube and will take place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday.
Swizz Beatz will receive the 2021 Icon Award for his “accomplishments and groundbreaking strides in music, art, and business.” In addition, derrick “D-Nice” Jones will receive the 2021 Innovator Award for uplifting Black Culture during the pandemic with his wildly popular Club Quarantine.
Other honorees include multi-Grammy and Emmy award-winning producer and showrunner Rikki Hughes and Denver Nugget JaVale McGee. In addition, there will be performances by Jensen McCrae and Yung Baby Tate.
The award ceremony will broadcast on July 1 at 5 p.m. PST on the Culture Creators YouTube channel.
